Portraits: Brooklyn Bridge | Stories | Zach Fox Photography

I constructed a sign that said "FREE PORTRAITS" and taped it to some hiking poles, which I lashed to my backpack so that the sign hovered above and behind my head. Then, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, approached people, and asked if I could gift them a portrait. I tried to get to know some things about them in the brief moment in time that our paths crossed. I tried to capture the joy I saw when I asked them questions like: "Where are you from?", "How long have you been together?", or "Who is the funny person in this group?".
