Winter Storm Fern swept across much of the United States in Late January. Snow arrived in New York City on the 25th, bringing snowshoers, skiiers, dogs, sledders, and runners to Central Park. Plows attached to sanitation trucks moved snow to the bike lanes and crosswalks, creating deep drifts at street corners. At around 1:50pm, the fluffy snow became uncomfortable freezing rain, which pushed me back to our hotel room.
My family and I traveled here to celebrate my wife's birthday with her sister's family. The snow and cold mostly kept us trapped in our tiny Manhattan hotel room, watching Cars 3 and Bluey on repeat.
