On the first day, our flight to Barcelona was diverted to Madrid. Our aircraft got out just before hail started, so that was a smart choice.
After a comfy night in a hotel, we rode in cozy train seats to Barcelona. For three full days, Cass and I poked around.
November 7: A failed attempt to find an unobstructed, panoramic skyline view of Barcelona. The Montjuïc Cable Car provided brief panoramic views, but I needed the ability to stand still. The Montjuïc Castle grounds didn't give me the views I wanted, either. I felt super frustrated and discouraged. Then, a cable car employee pointed me towards a bar called Salts, where I captured this photo.
November 8: Finding joy at MozFest and Poble Poble Espanyol. Briefly meeting Liv's worldly coworkers.
November 9: The 90-minute commute to Tibidabo Panoramic Area, including a subway ride, a bus ride, and a funicular ride.
